Israel to Build Homes in East Jerusalem
| |
Era unu' mai deunazi care, comentand episodul Annapolis, ajunsese la concluzia (cum? ...nu ne-a spus) precum ca arabii nu vor pace. Zau?...
By ARON HELLER
JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel said Tuesday it is seeking bids to build more than 300 new homes in a disputed east Jerusalem neighborhood, drawing Palestinian condemnations that the move is undermining the newly revived peace talks held last week in Annapolis, Md.
A Housing Ministry spokesman said 307 units would be built in Har Homa, a Jewish neighborhood in east Jerusalem.
Israel captured the eastern part of the city in the 1967 Mideast war and annexed the area. The Palestinians claim east Jerusalem as the capital of a future state.
Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said he sent an urgent message to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, asking her to block the project from moving forward.

Sigur ca nu vor, uite aici ce scrie in Charterul Hamas:
Part III - Strategies and Methods
Article Eleven: The Strategy of Hamas: Palestine is an Islamic Waqf.
The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine has been an Islamic Waqf throughout the generations and until the Day of Resurrection, no one can renounce it or part of it, or abandon it or part of it. No Arab country nor the aggregate of all Arab countries, and no Arab King or President nor all of them in the aggregate, have that right, nor has that right any organization or the aggregate of all organizations, be they Palestinian or Arab, because Palestine is an Islamic Waqf throughout all generations and to the Day of Resurrection.

Baronul MunchauZENN:

Re: Zenn's friends , the peace lovers...

In a speech delivered Tuesday, Ismail Haniyeh, the deposed Palestinian Prime Minister, indicated that Palestinians would not abide by the outcome of the Annapolis conference, indicating that the summit had no "relevance on the ground."
Haniyeh vowed that his government "would stand firmly against any procedures or policies that work against the weapon of the Palestinian resistance," adding that the conference was designed to "legitimize the Zionist entity" and cover America's failure in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine.
Haniyeh also criticized the West Bank-based administration for making decisions without the approval of the majority of Palestinians, both within the occupied territory and abroad.
Turning his attention to those Arab countries attending the summit, Haniyeh argued that they had no mandate to approve Palestinian compromises, adding that his government would reject any such agreements.
