Cass Sunstein: Ban conspiracy theories

FTO – January 15, 2010

Barack Obama's regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein wants to all "conspiracy theories" banned.

Not only is that a direct attack on human rights, journalists, news companies and freedom in all areas of life but it is truly a idiotic statement to make.

In a 2008 Harvard Law paper called "Conspiracy theories" Cass Sunstein asks what can be done about conspiracy theories.

The paper contained to specific questions

Government might ban conspiracy theorizing.

This means that you are not allowed to ask any questions. You must believe everything that is represented to you how it is without asking any questions you must believe the government, if you do ask questions you will be jailed? This is bizarre.

2. Government might impose some kind of tax, financial or otherwise, on those who disseminate such theories.

This guy is a complete nut job. You may not ask questions otherwise you will get taxes? What kind of society would want to live that way? This sounds a lot worse than China's way of controlling things, it sounds the same with a bit of sauce added to the craziness.

The nut job Cass Sunstein goes even further to say that the government should infiltrate the internet and flood the internet with doubts about their factual premises.

What he is saying is, the US government should make people doubt that wants to ask questions.

The nut job goes further to say that the "conspiracy theory" of " Theory of man made global warming" should be banned. We all know now that the truth did come out by people that did not believe the man made lie about global warming.
Basically what this comes down to is that this nut job wants to ban "conspiracy theories". The word conspiracy theories is just a cover given to those that represent facts in a way that makes questions arise, which is also one of the most important aspects of journalism, to make people think and to ask questions.
