The European Commission opines there are no reasons to change the Romanian legislation on child adoption, despite recent statements asking Romania for it, says press release.
In the latter document it is mentioned: "The European Commission wishes to reiterate that, as mentioned in the report on Romania released in October 2005, the new legislation on children's rights and child adoption, in use since January 2005, is in keeping with the UN Convention on Children's Rights and with the European Convention for Human Rights, just as it accompanies the reform of child protection."(...)
