President Traian Basescu stated yesterday, at Maracineni, in case there were politicians in the Alliance Justice and Truth who thought of governing by compromising with PSD (the Social Democrat Party, now in opposition), it would be better for the parties now in power to withdraw from the governing, according to a Mediafax News Agency release. "We tell the people we couldn't do it", said Traian Basescu. "I mind, even though I do not shout it, any kind of collaboration with PSD", the chief of State pointed out Thursday. He added: "We shall not have endless negotiations with PSD on the laws, because this is the precise field that needs an efficient intervention. The country is and would have stayed stable in the European view even if the proceedings for the anticipated election would have been initiated". (Anca HRIBAN)
