The ASG (Agency for Governmental Strategy) fund has been supplied with more 4 million RON to be used for financing four new projects. The latter are aimed at fighting cases of corruption in public institutions, at improving Romania's image, as well as at explaining to villagers what the accession to the EU means. They will also consider the improvement of public policies with view to citizens' needs.

The Romanian government made this decision on Thursday. In the press release there is mentioned: "Transparent Romanian Project is meant to diminish the number of corruption cases in public institutions by informing citizens about the legislation against corruption and by access to information. The campaign is going to include a component meant to encourage citizens' civic participation. (...) (O.B.)
