The position of PUR (The Romanian Humanist Party) id far from clear, as the leading board decided to join PSD (the Socialist - Democrat Party) for parliamentary elections and most party branches that reached local protocols with PNL (The national Liberal Party) - PD (The Democrat Party) maintain their option to continue regional collaboration with the Liberals and the democrats. Despite it, they claim they are going to obey the decision reached by PUR National Council to join Nastase's party for parliamentary elections. In the meantime, PSD is to ask its Humanist partners to give up local alliances with the Democrats and the Liberals. At the beginning of the week, PSD Vice president Ioan Solcanu admitted, "local renegotiations might be requested". "As it is normal, because of this reattachment, I think there is possibility of discussion on alliances at local and district councils", stated Solcanu. Give such challenge, is it hard to assume that the leaders of PUR organizations who shook hands with PNL and PD for local elections will accept such condition imposed by PSD.
