Richest Romanians own as much as 27% of GDP
The "Capital", a Romanian review, released yesterday the 2007 edition of the "Top 300. The Richest Romanians", showing spectacular changes in the hierarchy of the richest Romanians. As compared to last year's top, there are 7 more billionaires and about a third of those in the top aren't even 50. Taken together, the fortunes of these 300 Romanians reach about $ 33,5 billion, 50% more than in 2006, meaning 27% of Romania's GDP.
