Why we don't need the Tismaneanu report
The Tismaneanu Commission, about to end their activity serving Cotroceni Palace, could have as well not existed. There is no need of 660, 666 or, 1660 pages to condemn communism. The condemnation of the crimes committed by the Communist regime in Romania can be more easily achieved, without wasting so much paper.

Vladimir Tismaneanu, head of the presidential commission assigned to draw a report to be the grounds for condemning communism publicly, said in his interview to Mix Fm Radio yesterday that this report condemned communism for being "illegitimate and criminal". Traian drops a tear for Europe

'Romanian village' in Strasbourg
The President of Romania Traian Basescu reached Strasbourg yesterday afternoon for attending some events part of the Christmas Fair there, with Romania as special guest.
The President is to reach Saint Paul Church and mayor Fabienne Keller is to award him the Strasbourg Medal. The President is also to attend a chamber music concert by the Romanian Radio Orchestra. Famous violin player Silvia Marcovici is to play.
