The soundtrack hinted otherwise. It contained a series of agonised yelps and grunts, as of a man being repeatedly kicked and thumped. By then, Zaidi was on the floor, and cameras could not catch him in the melee. But listen to the message of the microphones. It seems to tell a vicious tale.

Who was doing the punching, if that is what it was? Was it Iraqi security men or Bush's bodyguards from the US Secret Service? Either way, whatever brutality it is now alleged was meted out to Zaidi far outweighs the violence involved in his gesture. This will only serve to add to Zaidi's status, making him a martyr as well as a hero in large sections of the Arab world, where commentators have been vying with superlatives to describe his action.

THE Iraqi journalist who became an instant media star for hurling his shoes at US President George W. Bush today appeared before a judge investigating the incident, his brother said.

Muntazer al-Zaidi, 29, a television reporter who relatives and colleagues said acted because he "detested" Mr Bush and America, was brought before the judge in the high-security Green Zone in the heart of Baghdad, the brother said.

Durgham al-Zaidi said he and another brother were told by the investigating judge that Muntazar had "cooperated well" but that they were unable to attend the hearing and had no further details.

Under Iraqi law, Mr Zaidi risks up to seven years in jail for "offending the head of a foreign state".

Acum toti tabara pe Bush.

Daca aruncam o privire in istorie, omenirea s-a miscat de multe ori ca un om beat din sant in sant mai ales in secolul 20. Nu a cautat sa gaseasca dreapta masura intre interventia maxima si interventia minima a statului.Iar dupa umila mea parere actuala criza are la baza si comportamentul unor indivizi iresponsabilli cu ,,ingineriile lor financiareINTERZISE DE LEGEiar justitia trebuie sa-si spuna cuvintul. Chiar daca paguba nu mai poate fi recuperata.Iar a incerca sa spargem toate oalele in capul lui Bush e o dovada de infantilism si contravine si principiilor fundamentale ale logicii.

Esti gresit. America NU DA NICI UN BAN FONDULUI MONETAR INTERNATIONAL. AMERICA OFERA CREDITE PRETINZIND CA ARE BANI.
Credite inseamna DATORIE si America a dus aceasta politica de a oferi credite pretinzind care puterea de a le acoperi financiar. FMI s-a lasat dus de nas si bazat pe aceste credite care America a promis sa le acopere, a acordat la rindul ei ajutor altor tari numai ca sa vada ca ei insusi acum sint in datorii. ESte un efect domino care a inceput cu pretentiile Americane si care acum se rasfringe in restul lumii.

America a contribuit si contribuie cu bani la FMI. Bineinteles ca toate tarile care contribuie la FMI isi vor banii inapoi cu o oarecare dobanda. Tarile care accepta conditiile FMI pot avea astfel imprumuturi pe care nu le pot oferi alte banci. Aceste imprumuturi sunt riscante pentru creditor, adica anumite tari nu mai pot inapoia acesti bani sau platesc cu mare intarziere.
