Smaranda Enache, a leader of the Pro Europe League, commented yesterday that the President of Romania Traian Basescu proved to have "a disturbing conduct" for European democracy. The Pro Europe League official meant the Romanian President's statements about some journalists, as well as his very aggressive offense of Cristian Parvulescu, a leader of the Pro Democracy Association, and his family.
Smaranda Enache added: "He is a racist and a sexist wishing to intimidate the press and the civil society." She also meant President Basescu's attitude to women and people of a different ethnic origin. (A.I.)
