PLD bill against government is ready
Yesterday when the PLD (Liberal-Democrat Party) introduced the candidates to run in the election of MEPs in Romania, Valeriu Stoica announced the party's bill against the Cabinet in power was ready and it was to reach the partners from the PD (Democrat Party). The PLD leader said next week they would start talks with the other parliamentary parties too and try to get support.
The bill text consists in about 30 pages and it is made up of 3 chapters: "The 2nd Tariceanu government, a corrupted government", "The 2nd Tariceanu government, an incompetent government" and "The 2nd Tariceanu government, a government of abuses of power".
According to Valeriu Stoica, the bill might be more successful with citizens than with the MPs and he claimed there was need to inform Romanians about the corruption within the government.
So far it is only the Democrats who have announced their support for the bill, but the signatures of MEPs from these two parties are less than required to register the initiative. (C.A.)
