The newly validated members in the TVR (Romanian Public Television Network) board decided unanimously to recommend Alexandru Sassu to become a general president of the TVR. Alexandru Sassu is the choice of the PSD (Social-Democrat Party).
Romanian senators and deputies got together and validated 11 of the 12 members of the TVR board. Here are the candidates: Anne-Marie Juganaru, Alexandru Sassu, Victor Socaciu, Vasile Arhire and Dumitru Pelican (from the PSD parliamentary group), Stanik Stefan Ioan, Salomon Marton Laszlo (representatives of the Democrat Union of Magyars in Romania), Razvan Barbatov (from the Conservative parliamentary group), Radu Toma and Nicolae Teodorescu (representatives of the "Greater Romania" Party), Dida Dragan and Brandusa Miron (from the Liberals), Raico Cornea (representative of national minorities), Vlad Velcu and Mirela Luca (proposed by the Romanian government) and Sorin Burtea, Marian Voicu, Ioana Bantoiu and Mihai Radulescu (representing the TVR staff).
Romanian MPs voted for the entire list yesterday and the persons listed above were appointed members of the TVR board. (...) (A.I.)
