Liberal Valeriu Stoica announced yesterday his intention to elaborate project to revise the Constitution of Romania, in order to settle the terms between the president of state and the PM and bring a more flexible procedure to cause early elections. The ex president of Romanian Liberals opined that the procedure to start early elections was so rigid that the latter became impossible.
He opined it should be easier for MPs to replace a government in case they thought it necessary. Stoica also commented that right now the conflict between the president of Romania and the PM was an institutional one, because of the dualism of the executive power in the Constitution. The Liberal opined Romanians should have means to choose either presidential republic with the president as PM too and parliamentary republic. (Rompres)
