In yesterday's press conference with foreign journalists in Paris, Romanian president Traian Basescu said Romanian authorities would no longer put up with the cliche describing Romania as corrupted country. The Romanian head of state mentioned that too many foreign politicians got used to uttering the corrupted state cliche when describing Romania. Basescu explained: "We respect opinions, but right now we have got arguments against such cliche and against the use of the same statements as in 2002, when the corrupted country cliche was the same." Traian Basescu also announced that last week the contract with EADS had been signed, which reached 500 million Euro and was to be accomplished by 2009. The Romanian official mentioned that EADS was to provide security to Romania's borders, as EU required, by November 30, 2006. (R.A.)
