Justice Minister Monica Macovei and state secretary Flavius Craznic have started thorough campaign to monitor and watch troublesome journalists and newspaper directors. The former SIPA (the Independent Service of Protection and Fight of Corruption) coordinates this political police action. Police investigator-in-chief Virgil Ardelean, known as The Fox, head of the General Department of Internal Information and Protection in the Interior Ministry, has joined the operation. The Justice Ministry has already received all reports on certain journalists closely monitored. The officials at rule should release the reports to avoid being accused of using them on fishy purposes, just like the former rulers.
