Yesterday the members of the PC (the Conservative Party) Political Bureau had a meeting longer than 3 hours. They decided that Conservative leader Dan Voiculescu was to ask Coalition members to support the Conservatives' initiatives. This is what PC spokesman Bogdan Ciuca stated to Mediafax. Ciuca said Voiculescu was to ask the Coalition to support three PC initiatives: 0% VAT (value added tax) on basic products, the law on justifying personal property and local council representation for Romanian minorities. If they get such support the Conservatives might agree to revoking the two Parliament Chambers' presidents, but only after a constitutional solution has been reached. As for eventual withdrawal from official structures at rule, PC has not changed attitude. PC spokesman said they were waiting for president Basescu's official solicitation that they should withdraw ministers from the present Executive. (R.G.)
